Development Partnerships

In 2015 Swerdlow Group partnered with with SJM Partners to co-develop a variety of projects. SJM Principals, Stephen J. Garchik and Steve McBride, have 40+ years of real estate financing, construction and development experience and success. Notable SJM projects include regional campuses for Mobil Oil and SAIC; national headquarters and office space for the National Science Foundation, Booz Hamilton, the US Postal Service and the Army Corp of Engineers; 22 self-storage facilities; retail stores for Costco and Kmart; and 4.5 million square feet of residential projects.

The partnership’s first project was Block 55 at Sawyer’s Walk and is currently pursuing a variety of significant development opportunities in affordable and workforce housing, retail and industrial.
